Tattoo Course Policy
- Organizer
- The organizer of the course is Leśny Szept Tattoo & Piercing Spółka z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością, with its registered office at ul. Wacława Tokarza 5 / 168, 03-379 Warsaw, Poland, registered in the National Court Register (KRS), NIP: 5242948165, REGON: 522862016
- Course duration and format
- The basic course lasts 5 days + a 6th day for the practical exam.
- It is held at the Leśny Szept Tattoo & Piercing studio.
- After the course, each participant receives support and assignments from the instructor for the following 4 months after completing the initial "training marathon" (i.e., the 6 introductory days).
- Learning is conducted in a hybrid or online format for those outside of Warsaw.
- Students may come to the studio during tattoo artists' working hours to observe, set up workstations, and eventually tattoo on human skin – if the instructor deems it appropriate.
- For selected individuals, we will offer 3 months of unpaid internship at our studio after the course.
- Course Objective
- Mastering the basic techniques of tattoo art.
- Providing theoretical and practical knowledge to enable internships at Leśny Szept or another studio.
- Preparing participants for final exams.
- Course Program
4.1. The course includes:
- anatomy and biochemistry (processes occurring in the body during and after the tattoo procedure),
- basics of marketing (managing social media, acquiring clients),
- theory regarding equipment and materials,
- practice on synthetic skin and fruit,
- practice on human skin (for participants who pass the exams),
- classes in the form of lectures and exercises.
- Exams
- The theoretical exam takes place after the approval of synthetic skin and paper work.
- It consists of 26 questions, with 90 minutes to complete.
- The exam is not passed if 4 or more questions are answered incorrectly or left unanswered.
- Participants may retake the exam the next day.
- If the participant fails twice, they cannot proceed to the practical exam.
- Even in case of failure, the participant is entitled to 4 months of hybrid or online learning.
- The practical exam includes correctly setting up and preparing the workstation.
- Passing both exams is a prerequisite for tattooing on human skin.
- The final tattoo is done on an adult model provided either by the studio or the participant.
- If no model is available, the exam may be taken at a later date (within 2 months after course completion).
- Materials and Equipment
- The studio provides: equipment and disinfectants for sterilization, ink cups, petroleum jelly, paper towels, green soap, spray bottles, machine and cartridge covers.
- The participant must have their own equipment (machine, needles, etc.) – a list of recommended items is provided after registration.
- Class Organization and Absences
- Classes canceled by the studio will be rescheduled (with at least 24 hours' notice).
- In case of participant absence – the instructor will provide necessary materials (for those who have paid in full).
- Participation Requirements
- Payment of the deposit, which confirms acceptance of the course terms.
- Full payment of the course fee.
- Following the instructor’s directions.
- Having basic drawing skills (anatomy, observation, shading, contrast) – assessed by the instructor.
- Course Withdrawal
- Withdrawal before the course starts: No refund of the deposit. The participant does not need to pay the remaining amount. They will receive instructions on how to create their first designs and a list of recommended materials.
- Withdrawal after the first day (or on subsequent days before completing the course marathon): No refund of the deposit. No need to pay the remaining fee. The participant will receive materials from the first day, design instructions, and a list of recommended materials for self-study.
- Withdrawal during the course marathon (after completing day one): The participant may withdraw but is required to pay the full fee. No refunds apply. They will receive a complete set of materials, the instructor’s notes from the course, design instructions, and a recommended supplies list.
- Withdrawal after completing the 6-day course marathon: The participant may opt out of further stages but must pay the full fee. No refunds apply. They receive: – the instructor’s notes, – instructions for creating designs, – a list of recommended supplies, – a task file for independent learning and social media development.
- Ethics and Integrity
- Plagiarizing designs is prohibited – results in disqualification from exams.
- Exams must be completed individually. Any attempt at cheating = failed exam with no retake option.
- Participant Rights
- Receiving supplementary materials.
- Submitting organizational feedback.
- Right to withdraw as per course regulations.
- Participant Obligations
- Familiarity with and adherence to the course rules.
- Compliance with studio rules.
- Maintaining hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Behavior consistent with social norms and respect.
- No smoking allowed on studio premises.
- Compliance with the information clause on personal data processing.
- Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
- The data controller is Leśny Szept Tattoo & Piercing Spółka z o.o., based in Warsaw (address: Wacława Tokarza 5/168, 03-379 Warsaw), registered in the National Court Register, NIP: 5242948165, REGON: 522862016.
- Data is processed for course organization, contact, payments, and certification purposes (Article 6(1)(b)(c) of GDPR).
- Providing data is voluntary but necessary for participation in the course.
- Data may be shared with third parties supporting course operations (e.g., accounting, payment operators).
- Data will be stored in accordance with legal regulations.
- Participants have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer their data, and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

- Final Provisions
- The organizer reserves the right:
- to cancel the group if there are too few participants,
- to change the course format to online (e.g., for epidemiological reasons),
- to deny exam access if the participant’s knowledge and commitment are insufficient.
- Completing the course does not guarantee becoming a tattoo artist.
- For selected graduates, internships or employment at Leśny Szept may be possible.
- The participant consents to the use of their image (photos, videos, artworks) in promotional materials for the course and studio.
